U.S. GOVERNMENT REGISTRATIONS

California University Foreign Credentials Evaluation (CUFCE) and Research-Amorsolo Foundation, Incorporated is a non-profit public benefit corporation and is not organized for private gain of any person. It is organized under the Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation Law for public and charitable purposes.

The Secretary of State of California issued his stamp of approval on August 23, 2001 with the corporation I.D. No: 2318990.

It is registered as a Non-Profit Institution by the Los Angeles County Registrar/Recorder with Registration No: 04-0904885 dated April 14, 2004.

The Internal Revenue Service has granted this Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation its tax-exempt status:

509(a)(1): DLN:17053206022002 and Federal Tax I.D. No: 91-2165044 dated December 10, 2002.

Likewise, the State of California Franchise Tax Board has granted this corporation its tax-exempt status:

Code Section 23801(d) dated August 15, 2002. It is also registered with the State of California Registry of Charitable Trusts on August 15, 2002.

California University FCE applied and was awarded on 12/19/2014, a renewable five year Institutional registration by the State of California LA County Registrar, Current Registration No: U20100880209.

University Twinning and Networking

UNITWIN is the abbreviation for the University Twinning and Networking Programme. The Programme was established in 1992 following the relevant decision of UNESCO’s General Conference taken at its 26th session.

The UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Programme was conceived as a way to advance research, training and programme development in all of UNESCO’s fields of competence by building university networks and encouraging inter-university cooperation through the transfer of knowledge across borders. Since it was established in 1992, the programme has aroused great interest among Member States.



The UNITWIN programme aims to be pertinent, forward-thinking and to impact socio-economic development effectively. So far UNESCO Chair and UNITWIN Network projects have proven useful in establishing new teaching programmes, generating new ideas through research and reflection, and facilitating the enrichment of existing university programmes while respecting cultural diversity.



Today 695 UNESCO Chairs and 68 UNITWIN Networks are established within the Programme, involving over 812 institutions in 128 countries.

Since the adoption of new strategic orientations for the UNITWIN Programme by the Executive Board at its 176th session in April 2007, emphasis has been placed on:

- The dual function of UNESCO Chairs and UUNITWIN Networks as “think tanks” and “bridge builders” between the academic world, civil society, local communities, research and policy-making;
- Realignment with UNESCO’s priorities (Medium Term Strategy for 2008-2013 (in pdf));
- Readjust geographic imbalance which is nnow in favour of the North;
- Stimulate triangular North-South-South ccooperation;
- Creation of regional or sub-regional poooolles of innovation and excellence;
- Closer cooperation with the United Natiiiioons University (UNU).
